Biohotel Rupertus

An ideal location and hotel for those looking for a restorative active holiday – Your hosts, family Herzog and Blumenkamp will welcome you warmly.

Our restaurant serve Austrian cuisine, vegetarian and vegan dishes, and homemade pastries. Most products come from surrounding organic farms.
The half-board option includes a buffet breakfast, a 5-course-dinner and an afternoon snack - all of them with 100 % organic products.

Since 2019 we can proudly claim to be a certified, climate-neutral hotel! We decided to offset the remaining amounts of emissions by purchasing certificates in emerging countries and thus achieving climate neutrality.

We support reforestation projects in Uruguay (VCS Forest Uruguay) & GS cooking stoves in Rwanda.

On the third and fourth floors of the hotel you find organically furnished Natural rooms “Mountain Whisper” and “Forest Mood”. These rooms offer guests a particularly pleasant natural living atmosphere and have been furnished using fine wool products and aromatic Swiss Stone Pine furniture. This kind of pine furniture has been proven to reduce the heart rate during sleep. The Villgrater Natur sheep’s wool bedding ensures sweet dreams and restorative sleep. All our rooms and suites are non-smoker rooms.

Featuring elegant wooden furniture and floors, all of the rooms and suites include Flat-TV’s, a cosy seating area and free Wifi. They have been furnished using nothing but natural products and have been designed with great attention to detail.

One of the most popular activities is the evening Leos-gang-art walk. This is a 3 km circular route with various sculptures and art installations by local artists along the way. It starts outside the hotel and goes along the valley of the Asitz mountain. You can sign up for these activities at reception.

In summer the varied children’s program guarantees new adventures every day. (Monday - Friday, 9am - 6 pm)

FREE Saalfelden-Leogang card for all guests - this entitles you to lots of services in the valley - two daily top and valley trip on the lift system in Leogang, unlimited entry to the adventure baths and reductions at many local attractions. See doing more for more information.

From Leogang you can go up to the mountains via the Asitz cablecar where you can test out the bike park, take a hike through the mountains or leisurely strolls. At the middle station of the Asitz cable car there is the Sinne Erlebnis (sensory experience) park where you can test your senses (ask at the reception for details). Breathe the clean mountain air as you enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains and the valleys or stop for a drink or meal at one of the mountain restaurants.

The numerous and varied excursion possibilities in the country of Salzburg and the neighbouring counties of Tirol and Bavaria ensure that culturally interested guests have plenty options to have a diversified holiday in the mountains.

Popular places of interest such as the City of Salzburg, Chiemsee Lake and Herreninsel, Königssee Lake, the Eagles Nest, the Großglockner high altitude Alpine road, Kitzsteinhorn - Kaprun, Zell am See, Kitzbühel, the National Park World in Mittersill, countless waterfalls, gorges and museums are all less than an hour with car away from the hotel.

Free transfers are available from and to Leogang, Saalfelden or Hochfilzen train Station. Transfers to and from Munich and Salzburg airports are organised on request. Free private parking is available at the hotel.
